Crimson Veins is an abstract fine-art photograph made at an Australian inland salt lake, capturing the mineral-stained channels and oxidised formations that pattern the lake bed. The intense red colouration is entirely natural — produced by algae and iron-rich sediment. Part of the Salt Atlas series.
